Ideally located, the property stands opposite Leeds Train Station and is a short walk from the city centre. As a participant in the International Medieval Congress, I found the daily walk to the campus quite manageable. Our top-floor room provided breathtaking views. The breakfast selection was extensive and varied.

The room was so comfortable, the bed was soft, the pillows fantastic and the window opened just enough to let cool air in (I like to sleep when it’s cold.) All of the staff members I interacted with were extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome from the moment I arrived. There was noise in the hotel from other guests, but none of it ever bothered me and obviously it’s to be expected! The tv worked perfectly, there were plenty of tea and coffees provided, as well as a hairdryer and shower gel. I would absolutely have this hotel as my first choice the next time I visit Leeds.

The location within a few minutes of the railway station is great - makes it easy to go on day trips or catch taxis. The hotel has a lift, no trudging up and down stairs. My room was large, with a large bathroom that had a deep tub for soaking. The room was well-lighted and the bed comfortable. It had a desk and chair, handy for working at. The continental breakfast included ham, cheese, salami, and a latte machine. Friendly and informative staff.

Properties a good location and clean, nice stuff very helpful and the reception and entrance looks really bright and inviting. The property is nice enough and we’ve stayed here a few times. Booked a twin room and expected the same as previously experienced, although staff advised they had upgraded us on arrival however the room was very dated and not as nice as we have previously had here. Overall a nice day as normal and would recommend as the location is great. Everything is on your doorstep good places to eat and drink nearby and shopping is also local literally couple of minutes walk from the train station.

I liked the cleanliness of the room. I liked the receptionist, as he was a very kind man. ;-) I liked the location of this hotel. I mainly liked that it is near the shopping area, close to the train station and near the bus station from which I travelled straight to the coast.

Excellent location near the train station, easy to find, helpful staff and very welcoming. Basic but clean and comfortable. I didn’t have breakfast so cannot say what this was like. Room was larger than expected for the price. Good water pressure for the shower. Would book this hotel again for a reasonably priced night in Leeds.

Lots of restaurants, shops and cultural venues within walking distance. Access to trains and buses within a 5 minute walk and within a 10 minute walk to buses across the England. Although the room was cosy in size it was very comfortable and provided everything needed in the way of essentials. The bathroom had a high warm shower, and shelves on which to place toiletries. The hotel was ecologically inclined regarding recyclable paper, etc., and changing linens only when needed. There is an elevator to the first few floors.

Room was very good, I have stayed before and although I usually go on price, I do like the D I , location for Briggate bars and gay village and town centre, staff are great and non judgemental, cleaning staff very helpful gave me some spare towels and let me change the bin, I did not need a full turn down.

The location. Was absolutely spot on ..directly opposite the train station, right in the mix of shops and 12 min walk from leeds direct arena ..I was a little apprehensive as the price was fabulous..but I couldn't be happier ..yes it's not the most modern of places , but its spotlessly clean , amazing location , great staff and the continental breakfast was perfect ..I absolutely cannot fault this place ..if you just want a stop over I cannot recommend enough ..the negative comments do not take into account what you pay ..its clean .the beds are incredibly comfortable..location is perfect , breakfast spot on what more can you ask for ..will definitely stay again

I am a frequent visitor to Discovery Inn. As travel by train, I find the location, so close to the station extremely convenient. My one night stay was exeptionally good value for money. The rooms are always spotless and, whilst basic - as expected, given the price I pay - are completely adequate. The staff are helpful and friendly.
